New Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary  

Cambridge, UK, April 27, 2023: Featurespace, a world leader in enterprise fraud and financial crime prevention, today announced the appointment of John Shipsey as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the promotion of Don Riddick to Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary. 

About John Shipsey 

John was at Smiths Group from 2017 to 2022.  As CFO, he played a key role in refocusing the Smiths portfolio, successfully navigating the challenges of the pandemic, and returning the group to good sustainable growth.  From 2005 to 2017 John was CFO of Dyson, the global technology company, at a time of exceptional growth fueled by new products and new markets.  Prior to joining Dyson, John worked at Diageo plc for 13 years in a number of senior finance and strategy roles in Africa, Europe and the USA. John is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has an MBA from INSEAD.

We are also announcing the promotion of Don Riddick to Company Secretary. Don has been Featurespace’s Chief Legal officer since July 2019. The expansion of the role is a recognition of the trust we have in Don’s expertise and personal contribution coupled with the need for enhanced governance for a company of the size and customer base of Featurespace. 

 

About Don Riddick 

With over 20 years of experience in legal services for major technology companies and financial institutions, Riddick has provided counsel and corporate legal strategy to Featurespace as it has grown its global client base. Previously, he served as vice president of Corporate Legal at TSYS prior to and following its acquisition by Global Payments. In his role, Riddick led a team of attorneys and contract managers to manage third-party legal matters. 

Prior to TSYS, Riddick worked at IBM as an Advisory Project Manager, Consulting Sales Specialist and Contracts Executive Leader, leading legal negotiations for financial services, technology, and other customers. In this role, he helped design a unique encryption storage solution that earned more than $1 billion in hardware and services revenue.
