Contract Manager - US/LATAM

In your role as Contract Manager – US/LATAM,  you will help us achieve our goals and deliver success on behalf of our customers by:

  • Negotiating and delivering our innovations to our global customers with a focus on the Americas
  • Working on transactions, assisting knowledgeable in-house and external counsel

We are looking for someone to ideally be based in Atlanta, but are open to also considering people based in LATAM.

Day to Day

As a Contract Manager, you will create and amend agreements relating to the purchase or sale of goods, software, and any related services, tracking these through their lifecycles. The position will have a focus on negotiating and optimising agreements with the organisations’ best interests in mind, understanding the advantages and pitfalls of various types of agreements.

Day to day duties will include:

  • Preparing agreements for clients and assisting with RFP/Q/I responses to help bring in new business
  • Assisting sales and vendor teams in developing and presenting project proposals and SOWs
  • Meeting with clients to find out their legal requirements
  • Producing plans and estimating legal and outside counsel budgets and timescales
  • Discussing, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating the terms of business agreements
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients, partners, suppliers, delivery, information security, sales team members, finance, and project managers
  • Working with third parties to ensure that everyone understands their rights and obligations under agreements
  • Ensuring projects and agreements meet agreed technical and legal standards
  • Working on-site and in an office, and traveling for training, negotiations, and team meetings as needed
  • Building and maintaining relationships with vendors, clients, and other business connections
  • Troubleshooting agreement-related problems, such as breach of contract
  • Keeping track of agreements and extending, renewing, or closing them out
  • Managing, updating, and implementing new tools for legal operations, including managing existing vendors
  • Collaborating with Sales and Delivery Operations teams and creating regular reports on the legal functions as needed

About you

Must haves

  • Native/Bilingual level Fluency in Spanish (IRL Scale #5) with the ability to read and write in Spanish. Knowledge and expertise with Central and South American Spanish dialects and business culture.
  • Business or Legal prior experience, preferably with Payments, AML, and/or Fintech companies
  • Bachelor’s degree, and postgraduate or certificate in business, law, or a similar field of study preferred
  • Experience in developing, drafting, negotiating, and advising clients on commercial and technology contracts, including multi-jurisdictional transactions, with a focus on US, and LATAM jurisdictions
  • Organization skills with the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team, including managing outside counsel and creation of templates and guidance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, good business judgment and the ability to handle multiple projects at one time
  • Understanding of general practices and internal policies, external regulations, and laws required of organizations
  • Good business, delivery, project process, and IT knowledge
