Director of Cyber Security

The Opportunity

In your role as  Director of Cyber Security  you will help us achieve our goals and deliver success on behalf of our customers by:

  • Defining and optimising the entirety of the organization’s security strategy, architecture, and practices
  • Managing security programs to ensure the management of security risks across Featurespace
  • Leadership of the security related teams and growing functions as needed over time


Day to Day

Your role will be to oversee our Security practices, through to supporting existing customers and building out teams as our business continues to grow. This is all with the goal of making Featurespace security practices and services world class.

  • Ensure the Security team is resourced adequately with relevant skills and capabilities to deliver the security program and future security needs in line with budget requirements
  • Act as the custodian for the Security Strategy and Roadmap
  • Define a Security Program which will mature our security capabilities across the organization
  • Partner with stakeholders to create efficient risk management strategies in their areas to ensure business objective can be achieved
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across the business
  • Collaborate with Technology Leadership teams to deliver on their business objectives
  • Accountable for ensuring the efficient and effective security infrastructure of the business and our product offerings
  • Responsible for ensuring secure application development/AppSec is embedded across the organization
  • Responsible for reviewing technology architecture from a security perspective
  • Ensuring we have the highest levels of certification and security compliance as demanded by our customers
  • Support sales on pitches to large clients considering partnering with Featurespace
  • Manage and run security related incidents

About you

Must haves:

Experience in –

  • Maturing cyber security programs within the industry
  • Responding to and mitigating threats, and incident management
  • Creating and maintaining high performing teams
  • Working with engineering and product teams
  • Secure development and maturing developing teams
  • Managing compliance such as PCI-DSS, SOC 2, ISO2700

You will also:

  • Be passionate about security and knows how to balance cyber risk which aligns to the needs of the business
  • Have a can-do mind set and a devotion to getting projects completed
  • Have a genuine desire to help our customers rid the world of fraud and money laundering
