In your role as Head of Internal Communications you will help us achieve our goals and deliver success on behalf of our customers by: 

  • Amplifying our culture and community by creating and embedding a meaningful internal communications and engagement strategy
  • Designing experiences that celebrate Featurespace our impact in the market and connect our people to our business mission and values
  • Ensuring everyone in Featurespace understands the 5 year plan, and their part in making it a success 

This role helps drive our organisational storytelling, encouraging our people to engage with our mission, connect with our values and recognise their role in our success. Success is achieved by fostering an environment of team member advocacy for Featurespace, both internally and in the wider world.

Day to Day

  • Support the development of the Featurespace Colleague Value Proposition, embedding our values across our business ensuring they stay meaningful and relatable
  • Build connections across global teams to foster a ‘one family’ feel
  • Support with colleague NPS and ‘best places to work’ data gathering to enhance our internal communications
  • Lead with award submissions that amplify Featurespace’s brand and culture
  • Develop and own the Featurespace Alumni Program to support our wider network of Featurespacers in the community
  • Work with Recruitment to create content for all platforms both internally and externally to help achieve talent hiring goals

About you

Must haves

  • Experience: demonstrable internal communications, colleague engagement expertise
  • Writing: excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as a journalistic ability to source stories from colleagues
  • Speaking: strong speaking skills as you are likely to be called on to give presentations to colleagues
  • Empathy: the ability to develop understanding of goals, culture and values, and how to relay them to colleagues at all levels
  • Interpersonal: good interpersonal and relationship-building skills in order to work with all departments across Featurespace. You also need to possess the confidence to deal with senior executives and explain communication techniques to them
  • Creative: ability to devise exciting, fun and engaging moments that delight colleagues
  • Digital: you must be conversant with information technology, especially digital and video means of communication  
  • Organisation and measurement: you must be well organised and able to manage multiple projects and priorities in parallel, with experience in developing robust measurement and reporting tools

Great to haves

  • Previous consultancy or agency experience
  • Relevant academic qualification at degree or masters level
  • Experience of working in international markets

Personal Qualities

As Head of Internal Communications, you also need the following qualities:

  • Be a self-starter and show a high degree of initiative
  • Be a positive force with a can do, problem solving attitude
  • Be someone who takes responsibility for their actions and sees things through to their logical conclusion
