Lead DevSecOps Engineer

The Opportunity

In your role as a Lead DevSecOps Engineer you will design, implement, and continuously improve a modern system deployment using security focused Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows. You will include the appropriate security analysis, defences, and countermeasures within the DevOps lifecycle, to result in robust and reliable products and services.

Day to Day

  • Lead overall responsibility for DevSecOps, ensuring that software and systems are designed and implemented to the highest security standards
  • Work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams throughout the company as a subject matter expert in container security with focus on solutions and implementation
  • Work with DevOps teams to adopt delivering applications and services in a DevSecOps pipeline
  • Create tools and automation to help test and monitor container security from development to deployment
  • Work collaboratively to design, build, and implement enterprise-class security systems for production container environments for both private and public cloud
  • Design and develop solutions for the troubleshooting and resolution of security or compliance issues
  • Stay up-to date with emerging technologies and capabilities in the ever-growing container landscape

About you

Must haves

  • Expertise with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience managing Kubernetes clusters in cloud environments
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, preferably Terraform
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, TeamCity
  • Experience of developing and applying security analysis and techniques in a CI/CD pipeline
  • Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to analyse technical information from different sources
  • Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, CWE, SANS Top 25
  • Experience and understanding of SaaS/IaaS product deployments, cloud platforms and the security implications


Great to haves

  • Software development experience in Java and/or JavaScript
  • Experience with security review of code written in Java and/or JavaScript
  • Knowledge of integration of Kubernetes with supporting services
  • Interest in all aspects of security research and development
  • Experience working in an ISO27001/2, PCI-DSS or SOC 2 environment
  • A relevant technical/professional security certification
