Management Accountant, FTC (Maternity Cover)

The Opportunity

In your role as  Management Accountant, you will be part of a team that drives continuous improvement, with this role suiting someone who is able to use their skills and experience to take processes to the next level as the company grows.

You will be a great communicator, have the ability to prioritise and have a passion to create and improve processes.

This is a 9 – 12 month fixed term position to cover maternity leave. Our Finance team is based in Cambridge, this is a hybrid role so you will ideally be comfortable coming into the office at least once a week. If you’re interested in the role but require more flexibility, please speak to us!

Day to Day

As a fast-growing company we hire people with a willingness to adapt to a variable role, so along with the key responsibilities below, we ask for ownership of any other duties as required.

  • Reconcile Balance Sheet with supporting schedules at month end
  • Produce monthly Group P&L and Balance Sheet on by working day 4 for review
  • Review movements on Balance Sheet and P&L in month prior to close. Working with the Finance Business Partner to investigate material variance analysis
  • Revenue recognition – ensuring adhering to UKGaap and that contracts are captured correctly within Intacct
  • Provide cover for the Global Payroll Lead (expectation this will be minimal)
  • Work with Financial Controller to create and maintain a Group Accounting Manual (GAM)
  • Manage the Chart of Accounts
  • Coordinate and lead annual audit
  • Work with Financial Controller to drive improvements and efficiency within in P2P, R2R and O2C processes
  • Assist in tax calculations
  • Drive improvements on Group Reporting provided to SLT
