Procurement Lead

The Opportunity

Following the tremendous success of Featurespace, our team is expanding and we are looking for a Procurement Lead to be based in our Cambridge office.

In your role as Procurement Lead you will help us achieve our goals and deliver success on behalf of our customers by:

  • Being the main point of contact for all procurement related tasks within the procurement cycle

The role requires someone who is a great communicator, is able to prioritise, have a full working knowledge of the P2P process and is able to identify and implement improvements.

Day to Day

As a company we hire people with a willingness to adapt to a variable role, so along with the key responsibilities below, we ask for ownership of any other duties as required.

  • Full tender process including RFIs (Request for Information) & RFPs (Request Formal Proposal)
  • Sourcing activities for all areas of the business including specialised areas
  • Supplier reviews including preparation of all relevant material and supporting documents
  • Develop and maintain a dashboard tracking key areas/issues
  • Analyses and resolves issues raised as part of the audit process
  • Develop, evaluate and manage relationships with suppliers
  • Improve and maintain controls to ensure there is a segregation of duties
  • Daily routine responsibilities including raising PO’s
  • Detailed practical knowledge of Procurement and the vendor selection process
  • Experience of managing procurement processes across multiple businesses/sites (desirable but not essential)
  • Professional services agreements knowledge
  • Drive and deliver efficiencies in cost, quality and time

Must haves

  • CIPs (or equivalent) Qualified
  • Full awareness of the procurement process
  • Supplier Management experience

Desired skills

  • Demonstrable experience of supporting businesses growth through an efficient procurement process
  • Demonstrable people management and people development skills
  • Significant experience managing multiple projects/tasks effectively
  • Strong analytical and financial skills
  • Ability to work with, influence and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels
