Senior Engineering Manager, US

The Opportunity

As our Senior Engineering Manager, you will help us achieve our goals and deliver success on behalf of our customers by leading the development of a new cloud native product to enable secure, real time, fraud detection.

This is a hybrid role based from our Atlanta office. Ideally you will be comfortable coming into the office at least three times a week. If you’re interested in the role but require more flexibility, please speak to us!

Day to Day

Leadership and Strategy: 

  • Lead and inspire a team of software engineers, providing clear direction and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration
  • Develop and execute the technical strategy for the cloud-native fraud detection platform, aligning with business objectives and industry trends

Product Development: 

  • Oversee the end-to-end development of the software product, from concept to deployment, ensuring a focus on security, compliance, and real-time machine learning

Agile Development: 

  • Embrace and promote agile methodologies, adapting quickly to changes in scope and priorities, and ensuring the team delivers high-quality software within timelines

Innovation and Ambiguity: 

  • Thrive in an environment of innovation and ambiguity, leading the team to explore new technologies and approaches to stay at the forefront of fraud detection solutions

Cross-functional Collaboration: 

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, data scientists, and other stakeholders to define product requirements and ensure successful delivery

Talent Development: 

  • Mentor and develop the engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
  • Attract top talent, contribute to recruitment efforts, and create an environment that encourages diverse perspectives

Risk Management: 

  • Identify and proactively address risks and challenges associated with software development, ensuring a proactive approach to problem-solving

About you

Must haves: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field 
  • Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing software development, preferably in a cloud-native environment 
  • Experience with innovation frameworks, prototyping, and rapid product development 
  • Deep understanding of real-time machine learning, fraud detection, and cloud-native architecture 
  • Experience leading teams through ambiguity, scope changes, and the development of new products 
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards in software product development 
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders 

Great to haves:

  • Previous experience in developing secure and compliant software products in the fraud detection domain
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture, serverless computing, and container orchestration
  • Expertise in DevOps practices, continuous integration, and continuous deployment
  • Knowledge of big data technologies and distributed computing
