Technical Product Manager

The Opportunity

Featurespace’s Product team is growing fast, and we are now on the lookout for a Technical Product Manager to join the team, to be based out of our Cambridge or London offices.

As a Technical Product Manager at Featurespace, you’ll be helping us achieve our goals and deliver success on behalf of our customers by assisting Principal Product Managers in defining new products and product features in collaboration with the wider team, and will assist with Product communications with particular focus on working with the technical teams. Immersing yourself in the fraud and risk prevention markets to understand new opportunities, you’ll also act as a point of contact, providing technical leadership within the Product team.

Day to Day

  • Ownership of functional and non-functional Product requirements for all new Products and Product Features
  • Production and ownership of technical Product documentation (for example: Base Software Specification; Standard Integrations; etc)
  • Provide guidance on technical design of new features and integrations to the Product team
  • Work closely with the Product Design team to evolve the designs of new features
  • Maintain close working links with the Engineering teams that facilitate the exchange of information and ideas
  • Facilitate Product design workshops and meetings, inputs and outputs

About you

Must haves

  • An established background in software development and/or architecture with proven technical experience
  • Experience with distributed systems and platforms, and a familiarity with components such as:
    • Kafka
    • Zookeeper
    •  ElasticSearch
    • Mongo DB
    •  PostgreSQL
  • An understanding of software development concepts and techniques
  • Highly organised and detail oriented with good writing, verbal, communication skills, people skills and concern for high standards
  • Ability to take on a varied and busy workload with a proven track record for delivery
  • Ambitious and smart; willing to learn and get up to speed quickly
  • Excellent working knowledge of Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, prototyping tools (e.g. Balsamiq, Invision)

Great to haves

  • Knowledge and/or interest in FinTech
  • Previous experience of interfacing between Engineering and Product teams
  • Previous Experience in AML/Financial Crime and related products
