Featurespace Supports the 2020 MATHCOUNTS Competition in Atlanta

Featurespace employees recently volunteered alongside several other Atlanta organizations in support of the 2020 MATHCOUNTS competition, which is part of a national mathematics enrichment program intended to encourage students at the middle school level to pursue math- and science-based careers.

"The MATHCOUNTS competition is a brilliant advocacy initiative," said Dave Excell, founder of Featurespace. "Motivating younger students to harness their creativity and strengthen their critical thinking skills lays the groundwork for what will be the next generation of innovators."

The Atlanta competition is the largest in the U.S. and relies on collaboration between educators, corporate sponsors and volunteers.  This year, the event hosted more than 250 students from 28 local schools.

Ronald Scinta, Lead Implementation Engineer at Featurespace, served as coordinator, working with the local MATHCOUNTS chapters and the Georgia Society of Professional Engineers (GSPE).
