PaymentsSource, a leading news and information resource for payments and financial service professionals, names Martina King, Featurespace CEO, as one of the publication’s “Most Influential Women in Payments” for a second year.

The women on this year’s list include leaders, influencers, innovators, and technologists who work in banking, payment processing, merchant acquiring, and machine learning, among many other disciplines. Martina first joined the list in 2018 and has been recognised for a second year. The announcement follows her recent award for Industry Achievement at The Cards and Payments Awards 2019.

Each year, the editors of PaymentsSource select the top women in the payments industry who are unafraid to take risks with investments, bring new ideas, and help develop technology that changes the way people exchange money.

Founded in 2008, Featurespace’s core technology risk-scores transactions to detect potential fraud globally. Martina took the helm in 2012, overseeing its U.S. expansion and a key partnership with TSYS in 2016. Featurespace opened its U.S. headquarters in Atlanta in late 2017.

Early this year Featurespace raised $32 million for international growth, and expanded into Asia by launching services to Singapore banks.

“Since joining Featurespace, Martina has been instrumental in our growth by fully engaging with our customers and motivating the team internally,” said Dave Excell, co-founder and CTO of Featurespace.
