Martina King speaks at the opening of London Tech Week

Tech London Advocate’s (TLA) WOMENINTECH present two panels on “Advocating Inclusivity – what will it take for businesses to truly shift the dial on the gender agenda”. On the morning of the London Technology Week’s inaugural day, the event will start with a keynote from Baroness Oona King. Martina King, Featurespace CEO (no relation), will be joining a panel to discuss “What challenges do female founders & CEOs in technology face when raising all forms of capital? Are VC’s/PE/Corporate better than banks and what lessons can be shared on getting funded?”.

TLA WOMENINTECH are an active network of women and men – the movers and shakers of the London Tech scene. They are London’s movement for gender equality in the global tech industry. “As a movement, we believe that gender balance improves commercial performance and that being a leader of tomorrow requires the courage to act differently today.”

Former Managing Director of augmented reality company Aurasma, Martina King has an extensive career in media technology. Her previous leadership roles include Managing Director of Capital Radio, where she doubled revenues as Sales Director and successfully defended the radio station’s number one position in London. Martina was also Managing Director for Europe at Yahoo!, where she rebuilt the UK and Ireland business after the ‘dot com’ collapse and subsequently led the rebuilding of Yahoo!’s European division.
